Wedding Package 1 - $2000.
Every couple has different wants and needs. My goal is to make you happy, not nickel and dime you to death with additional options, so I will gladly include an extra framed engagement print, photos of the rehearsal, or anything else that is reasonable. This is why I always want to meet with you in person to discuss what you have in mind. That said, here is the package we start with...
Engagement photos at a location of your choice. You pick the photo you like most then we work on any retouching you want. When you approve, I will make a 12x16 print, mat and frame it. You can chose a guest signing mat if you want, or a photo guest signing book.
I am with you the entire wedding day - unlimited time, unlimited photos. I am with you from the time you start preparation until you tell me it is okay to go. I typically take 700-1000+ photos, from which we select 300-400 that you want me to retouch. I then individually color correct and retouch every selected photo. Proofs are available online so you can add comments on what changes you want me to make. For example, in group shots somebody inevitably has their eyes closed or is looking the wrong way. Since I always take at least three shots of every group, I can mix and match people so you will have one good shot.
I spend a lot of time retouching photos. Anything from fixing makeup, hair and dresses so you still look perfect at the end of the night, removing acne, removing unwanted people, or dropping 10-20 lbs (while this is much cheaper and safer than liposuction, people may not recognize you). My retouching gallery has some examples.
When all retouching is complete, I provide one set of 4x6 prints and I usually include a few larger prints (8x12 or 12x16) of really nice shots.
Albums are cost of material plus $50/hour labor so you can pick what fits your budget. A scrapbook style album can cost as little as $20 but glueing several hundred corners and/or mounting photos can take many hours. Flush mount albums look great but cost several hundred dollars and up depending on size and number of pages. I use an outside vendor for flush mount albums so the material cost is high but labor cost is low. Other album styles fall somewhere in between. Additional unmounted prints are simply at cost. I do not believe in making excessive profit on albums or prints.
I also give you all of the photos, retouched and unretouched, on a DVD (data, not movie) in two or three versions... one set contains the full size images if you want to make more prints at home or to upload to your favorite printing service, and another set that has been scaled down in size so you can easily attach them in email or your own web site. The third set is optional. If you are a Costco member, I optimize the photos for printing at the Costco you usually go to. Optimized images are noticeably better looking than unadjusted ones, but they should only be used at that one store.
All finished photos are available in an online gallery for as long as you want me to keep them there. There is no annual maintenance fee or limit to the number of photos. From the site you, or anybody you give the URL/password to, can order additional prints or other photo items (mugs, calendars, etc). The images available online are the same as the full-size images on the DVD.
A second photographer is available for $500
Payment only after you are happy with everything.
I have shot weddings from Hawaii to Las Vegas, from San Francisco to San Diego. I will drive anywhere in SoCal without an additional fee. Outside SoCal, you will need to pay for travel expenses that may be required.Wedding Package 2 - $2500
Package 1 plus a 12x18" oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Pick your favorite photo and Christine, my wife, will make an oil painting from it. This is a real oil painting, not a photo printed on canvas. Framing and matting are available at cost of material and labor. Unfortunately, a photo of a painting of a photo does not really do it justice, so if you are interested we can bring over a few samples for you to see in person.
If you already have a photo you want painted, the cost of the painting alone is $500. The better the photo, the better the painting. I can also retouch the photo before Christine paints it. The fee for retouching is $25/hour.Headshots and portfolio development - TFCD
I am still building my portfolio so all shoots are TFCD. Please see my Portraits and headshots and Recent shoots galleries for examples of my work.
